Central New England Region
Qualifying Eventing Rally
(for 2008 Championships)
Date: Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11
Beginner Novice and Training divisions will be held on Saturday
Novice and Preliminary divisions on Sunday
Place: King Oak Farm Spring Horse Trials Southampton MA
Entry: Entries are required for both CNE and USEA, please see attached checklist
Fee: All USEA entry requirements are to be sent to Wendy Johnson directly. She will then send in all the entry forms to King Oak Farm in one packet on opening day, March 25. You should send Wendy two checks (or 3 if you include an on site stall deposit): The first is the USEA entry fee as indicated on the USEA Horse Trials entry form ($175 P/$150 T/N/BN plus additional USEA fees), payable to King Oak Farm. Please refer to the Spring 2008 USEA Omnibus for details and remember to include the additional stabling form and fee if you wish to stable overnight. Off site stabling ($50-9 miles away) does not require a stall deposit. On site stabling is $90 plus a $25 separate stall deposit check. The second check should be payable to CNE for $30 per rider or HM to cover the regional rally expenses.
Details: This rally is geared towards Championship qualifiers. There are only 20 spaces per day reserved for us by King Oak Farm. However, the rally is not restricted to qualifiers only, so if you wish to participate in the USEA event and the rally, please send in your paperwork. Preference goes to qualifiers. Clubs should send individual participants rather than a team. The Region will assemble the teams based on final entries and qualifiers will have first priority on each team, first come first serve until we reach 20 participants. We will try to base teams on club basis to facilitate rally equipment and accommodations. ***Each participant is required to bring a volunteer to act as a fence judge at the event***since we have committed to providing volunteer fence judges-rain or shine. Training is provided and pairs are encouraged so you can watch your child ride. Please address questions to Wendy rather than King Oak Farm since they prefer only one contact for our group.
Qualifications for Eventing Championships are as follows:
Horse Manager- minimum age 12/C1
Beginner Novice- minimum age 12/C1
Novice- minimum age 12/C2
Training- minimum age 13/C2
Preliminary- minimum age 14/C3
Note: Qualifiers must also submit an additional qualifying affidavit from one other approved USEA event prior to Championships. Please contact Betsey with any questions.
Deadline: The complete entries including current coggins must be in Wendy's hand by March 15th so the entire packet can be sent to King Oak Farm on the opening day March 25th.
